Good day to the community

I have been offered by a friend the Lian Li PC-201A (Silver) PC case. I know it is a very good case (it was at the top of high end cases when it was introduced), but I am trying to find a specific characteristic of it, before it comes to my hands.

I need to know what is the maximum allowed height for a CPU cooler, than can be fitted in it.

If someone knows it or has this information, I would be grateful.
Thanks.

P.S.:
I' ve been prompted by the moderator(s) and/or administrator, to better clarify my question, in order anyone reading it to be able to understand it and perhaps provide an answer/solution.

Well, it is already clarified. To get an answer from someone, it requires that someone knows the specific Lian Li case and has further knowledge of its specs. More specifically, the person who may have this knowledge, should be able to measure or know the exact space that the case provides, between the CPU, already fitted on a motherboard and with the motherboard already fitted in the case, and the internal surface of the side door of the case, opposite to the CPU. Unfortunately, this information is not available by the maker, as other makers for other cases do, probably because it is an old case model.

OP, this case is too old to get additional specs. Also, I doubt you'll come across someone on a single forum with the same exact case. Also, when these designs were released during a time where manufacturer's didn't care about adding the "max CPU cooler height" or "max GPU length" in their cases/chassis specs.

The best thing I can do for you OP is that I have a case with the same exact width of this.
210mm x W - Lian Li PC-201
215mm x W - In Win 303

My In Win 303 can support:
Max CPU Cooler Height - 160 mm

That means I can still use the ever so popular:
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan Height: 159mm

The 5mm difference between our chassis is hardly significant. So I assume that case also has a similar Max CPU Cooler Height.

I'm calculating an estimate based on:
1. Similarity in size and clearance of our chasis.
2. Placement/distance of the 120mm mounted in the read of the case.
3. Accounting the motherboard thickness and CPU bracket.
3. Space between the Side panel cover and the frame.

This is just an estimate not 100% accurate:
140mm - While I want to say you may be able to fit the Hyper 212 Evo I'd rather play it safe.

Here is a list of Coolers 140mm and below:

Solution

Thank you, for the information, mate. I will consider it initially useful and I will check my options to see what may be a proper choice for me. The case will soon be at my hands though, and I will be able to measure it exactly. I am going to report the findings here.

Again, thank you so much.
