Older Mobo New Video Card

Hey,

I need to replace my current card on my Asus M4A87TD Mobo.
It has a PCIe 2.0 x16, but I'd like to use a 3.0 card on it.
The contenders are
Gigabyte Radeon R7 360 1200MHZ 2GB 6.5GHZ GDDR5
or the
ASUS Radeon R7 250 1000MHZ 1GB 4.6GHZ GDDR5

The question is,
Due to the 2.0 on the Mobo will the performance of the Gigabyte over the ASUS be enough to justify the price difference?
Or should I just by the cheaper card because my Mobo wont take advantage of the difference anyway

your not going to saturate a 2.0 X 16 slot with either card so the performance of the card is what you will get.

there won't be any difference in performance using a 2.0 slot. buy whatever you decide on and drop it in. no worries
