Question Older PC trying to get newer GPU to work

Trying to get
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 570 DirectX 12 GV-RX570GAMING-4GD 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0x16

On a system with

Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz
MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
MSI Radeon HD 6950 DirectX 11 R6950 Twin Frozr II OC 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16

After hooking the new video card up I can turn on the power but get no beeps and black screen. Only issue I had was with the power supply having a 6+2 pin and needing a 8 pin. But from all I read that shouldn't be a compatibility issue.

A 6+2 cable is an 8 pin cable, they just make with with two pins separated. 6+2 = 8, at least in most schools You do have the power plug in correct?

Take out the card and check for a newer BIOS for the motherboard then put the card in, make sure power is in properly and if the power supply is modular make sure the power cable is in the PCIe or VGA power connections.

Check if graphics card has two power connectors on it, not just a single one. User manual I've just been looking at mentions two:
