I took this PC monitor from my grandma's house.....(my uncle had a pc). I was wondering whether it would be fine to run games like CSGO and Dota2 there. Im on a super budget and need to save as much money as possible.
The 2005 Monitor is a Phillips 150E6FB/00.
Resolution is 1024x768

Good thing with CRTs is that they look good even at very low resolution,on a super low budget PC this is a very good thing, you will be able to game at low resolutions without it looking completely horrible.
On panels you have to play at the native resolution or it will look like crap.

(My ancient SyncMaster 793s goes up to 1440p resolution :) 1080/68Hz )
I mean you can use it... but your resolution is going to be kinda cruddy. So if you don't mind that, then yes.

Otherwise, 1080p monitors are actually pretty cheap now and days. You can get a decent one for $50-80.

$50 1080p monitor?? Link pls?

I recall picking up a 24" HP 1080p 60HZ for $120 CAD about 4 years ago. Plus, places like Kijiji and Craigslist offer cheap, used monitors a lot.
