It's Older brother the c750uz is a fine piece of kit - only difference being
the 765 takes a l-ion battery rather than nimH's and doesnt have the hotshoe
like the 750. the optics are the same. I'm very pleased with my 750.

If you can still get your hands on a 750 - go for that - more camera for
less money - and you get the chance to use cheaper batteries 🙂

see some shots from it at:

F..k off you cretin!

You see, you are NOT the only one to swamp the net with rot!

To all normal people, I'm sorry, but I am sick and tired of this horrible
creature spoiling sensible mails.

Yes, sounds pretty good. I was serioulsy looking at this until I bought the
Canon G5, but the 'Oly' still hold dear to my heart.

You might also consider the Canon S1 is. If this one had been out
when I bought my OLY, I would have gone the Canon way.

Happy shooting,

I recommend calling whichever companies you are looking at and find out
their repair policies and costs.

I have had D340 and C700. Loved them both -- until they needed service.
Got 2 years out of the D340 and 2 years out of the C700. $105 min repair
charge for the D340; $155 for the C700.

Although I really liked them both, I would try a different brand next time
due to excessive repair cost and the fact that Olympus DOES NOT allow
independents to buy their service documentation.

I went the same route after 2 olys. I had the slide door break on one.. a 10
cent plastic part.. repair cost? $160! Also, my wife scratched the pic
viewer on the older 450-zoom (bad design).. repair cost? $250!

Much as I *love* oly, I just don't want to deal with thier customer service
anymore. My 450-zoom was in for repair once.. hey promised 2 week
turnaround.. and 6 weeks later, they STILL hadn't even opened it up for
repair! (and I totally misssed out on Vacation pics that year because of
that!)
