Hello,

I own a Olympus CAMEDIA P-330E Printer. Although I'm generally happy
with the printer and it's output quality, I wonder why there has to be
such a large margin around the picture on the printing paper.

The paper is 10cm x 14cm (4in x 6in), but the picture printed on the
paper is only 8cm x 11.4cm (3.1in x 4.5in). There's no option in the
printer driver to change the printing size.

As this is a thermal dye-sub printer, the maximum print size is
deterinded by the size of it's color foil. These foils exactly match
the width of the printing paper. I'm curios, is there any way to
enlarge the printable area?

Is there any specification by Olympus itself about the maximum
printing size? Sadly I don't have any manual for the device.

Many thanks for your replies in advance.

Cheers,
Mike

I've received a link to the P-330E Manual. It states, that the maximum
printing size is 114x85 mm (4.5in x 3.4in).

I guess this question has been answered. :-/

Olympus indicates this printer can produce image sizes up to 85mm by
114mm, or about 3.35" x 4.5". It probably has to do with the width of
the thermal head. In dye sub printers, the head doesn't usually move.
