I'm downloading the 20mb file now, but why is it in CAB format? I always
download full drivers (as apposed to updaters) so I can install them on
client pc's, so are the cab files a full install, or just an extract over
previous files distribution?

and what catalyst version are these based upon? 4.6?

Y. All the Radeon drivers I've ever seen anywhere are "full install"
(i.e. you don't need anything else installed for them to work).

He just recently changed from a .zip file to the .cab format for size
problems.

"The package keeps growing in size, the drivers will keep being
distributed in compressed CAB format to save some bandwidth, it must
be decompressed using one of these tools (latest version): WinAce,
WinRAR or WinZip. Then run the extracted file to start installation of
the drivers."

Yes these are based on the 4.6's. :)

ps.. I use IZarc as my "zip" program.. it does ALL the formats, and is
free.

IZArc support most popular archive formats, including 7-ZIP, ACE,ARC,
ARJ,BH, BZ2, CAB, DEB, GZ,HA, JAR, LHA, LZH,PAK, PK3, RAR, RPM,
TAR,TGZ, TZ, ZIP and ZOO.

Heh, I only remembered that I'd asked about it, didn't notice before
that you were there.
