My son's I to his GCSE yr nxt year and has picked IT, I want to get him a decent wntry level pc thats capapble of playing gta5 and fortnite without lag but also web design & video editing with the intention for him to expand its capabilities maybe later if he wants. I've seen these two on pc world ebay page and would welcome your thoughts.http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eB...9&pm=1&ds=0&t=1563978173000&ver=0&cspheader=1

Solution
The HP Omen is better.

Or if your son is somewhat tech savvy you could buy him new parts and you & him could build the system together. There's plenty of build guides out there and if you run into issues post here and we'll try to help out.

Yup HP Omen is the winner.
However, seeming as they will be doing IT, might I suggest buying the parts, then letting them build it. There are lots of tutorials on the internet and if you get stuck you can ask here for help. In addition to the experience, they will also end up with a better system, as building your own is usually cheaper than buying prebuilt. For example, this is what you could build for the same price:

Hi, sorry to bother you again, just seen this, can you see why it would be so cheap, pc world ebay shop have it for 782 but that has 12mth warranty and 120gb ssd, as far as I can see if I get the cheaper and add ssd and 12mth warranty still quits in. Be ok for his needs and of coursemplay fortnite with no probs?
Thanks
James

A DIY build is your best bet. Each component will come with it's own individual warranty, and it will be a good learning experience. If they are going to get into the IT field, they are going to have to learn how hardware goes together anyway. This suggestion doesn't include any mail in rebates.
