I have a Mobo that was built for HP. I believe it is a socket seven. I'm running a amd 300 cpu on it. I have no idea what video adapter was built in and would like to run at least 256 colors instead of 16. Is there a generic driver that is standard to use so I can get aleast 256 colors out of this board. I have had no luck finding a match for this board even on HP. I believe it is a PSPA5-10.5.It also says " SPAX- rev1.01. And a bar code that reads SRT143998. I really need some help here. Thanks Bruce

When you first turn the system on and as it starts to post you will see a number.

eg 2A59IZ1DC-00 (example)

Write the number down and goto http://www.wimsbios.com

It will tell you what MOBO & BIOS you have. It will also give you a link to MOBO manf. web page as well.

I'm told that you can't do that with Phoenix bios. There is no number that comes up even with keyboard error. I really believe the board is a PSPA5 made for hp machines. There is no help from HP. There site does not reconize that number. My only hope is to disable the on board video. So far I have not been able to figure out the jumpers but in time I will. Thanks Bruce
