Intel on quad core. And if you are serious about rendering your graphic card is very! important. Some graphics cards are made and optimized for 3D work, rendering and things like that.

I've used 3ds max for a few years, Video card has played no role in rendering time under the mental ray or scanline renderers. The best bang for buck right now would be the Athlon II X4, nothing else sub $140 can compete with it in rendering speed.

Dear sir thank you for giving me your time . according to you graphic card play no role in rendering . now you and other user can see why did i start this thread cause you can see that already a member had given me his advise stating that some card play a role in rendering but according to some other member they play no part in rendering . To me this a conflicting situation . so please you or any other member tell me what is right ? :pt1cable:
