Question On MS-7184 which 1GB DDR does it work with Windows 7?

I have Windows 7 and XUBUNTU in dual-boot.
If I leave only the old 512MB DDR, everything works.
If I put a 1GB DDR, Xubuntu works and Windows 7 causes blue screen with error compatible with ram problems.
Why only Windows finds problems?
