On my laptop/tablet my power button is pushed in. Is there any way to get it out

It might be just hung up. I'd get something really sticky and try to pull it out that way.

I dont' think you are going to be able to push it out from the back as many times those switches are enclosed....but you may get lucky and be able to go that route.
