I have access to a computer, but no UO on it. I'm sure this is a stupid
question, but can I download the software and play on my regular acct?

Well, there's no official way to do that. If you find a warez site or
some of the unofficial UO shard sites you might find an iso to download
and as long as you know your account and password, it should work.

Might be simpler to spend $10-20 on UO at a computer store though.

There *was* and official download site a while back. It was intended for
returning players. I'm not sure if the link is still active, nor do I have
a URL for it. You could try searching around the UO site though, look for
options concerning returning players.

You could just go spend less than $25 and buy a copy to use for the
few days you are there.

Technically, that's what you are supposed to do. But 1 copy for every
computer you own or plan on playing on.

Of the 2 sites I knew of only 1 still has it. Hope you have broadband, it's
619Mb, and you have to load a LOT of patches. It also won't have your macros
etc. of course. Enjoy.
BTW, it's AFAIK a full install of AOS.

(You might need to copy/paste the link, sorry)

I haven't read the UO EULA lately, but UO does *not* require that per their
general comments and discussions on their approved forums and sites.
Reference my above post, they actually offered it for download for a while.
Considering it's a recurring monthly charge, expecting me to pay for a copy
on every machine I play on is ridiculous. Am I also supposed to buy
upgrades for every computer when expansion packs are released? No, I only
need to buy an update for each *account* that I have.

I stand duely corrected. Thank you! :)
