Question On Windows 10, Explorer.exe occasionally malfunctions

Hi,
I usually handle IT and cure everyone's computer problems, but I'm at a loss with this one.
I'm working, and all of my previously opened windows abruptly crash for no apparent reason.
I performed an In-Place upgrade to update the OS and SFC discovered nothing, but the problem persists.
I'm not sure why Event Viewer is crashing because it doesn't appear to display any catastrophic errors either.
Please, any assistance would be highly valued.

What are specs?
If windows doesn't know, it could be hardware causing it.

its always harder to identify own problems, easier when its someone elses... i find.
