I currently have a Z270 TUF mark 1 motherboard with the realtek 1220a codec. I have my dt770 pros connected to the motherboard with my marantz SR5300 amplifier connected over optical. I was wondering if I would see a substantial difference in audio if I were to buy a sound card and if so which would be the best option. Thanks

Well, from my opinion, I would compare what it does give it to you (like Extra settings , quality etc.) over your current sound chipset.
I've used only sound card for my headphones wich are above 60 ohms (you get lower volume output).
But generally, from my opinion, kinda not worth it.
Note: I've used old , SoundBlaster and Xonar DGI which are PCI (not pcie).
