I know onboard graphics are lousy. but which is the better performer in gaming?

The Nv 6150 or the new Intel GMA X3000.

As far as onboard goes, I dont think there is much different. I have the X3000, and I notice no difference between it and my old FX5200.
Both seem rather crappy, though I don't really need much better.

Actually, I recently got a PC with the GeForce 6150 and was pleasantly surprised at the graphics performance. It runs Warcraft III at all high settings (though that's not a graphics intensive game). I bought a 7 series GeForce on sale, but Im wondering if there will be much difference.

Yes, I was supprised :) at the quality of the onboard 6150 graphics as well.

I was just interested to know if the new Intel GMA X3000 onboard graphics was any better.

I mean they (6150, etc) are good enough with some games in the short term, (as long as you have a powerful CPU) until able to afford a PCIE card.
