Hi guys,

The title says most of it. I just built a computer using a i5 4690k and I currently do not have a video card installed. (using the on chip video)

I have an old GT240 512MB card that I could drop in very easily. Should I bother? will my i5 run slightly cooler now that it doesn't have to do video?

Are there any drawbacks?

That makes sense.

Not that I'm using this for gaming or anything, I just figured it would take the load of CPU if I was doing something graphic intensive.

Is the GDDR5 memory its using good for anything? (albeit not much, 512mb) I know the card has no value, but I'd hate to throw it out. lol
