Hi, basically I need a new CPU my i3 540s time is up, it still works but not where I want it in the next gen games, I have decided on an FX 8320 or FX 8350, I will be using the stock cooler and how much heat will these really pump out, I won't overclock.

My friend sayed that I need a new case and fans.
Here is my current case, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-002-XG

Would I be able to keep it as it is and change MOBO? Or will I have to add more fans I thought about the blue LED spectre pro as they are cheap and good or the Corsair AF120 dual pack.

Or will this not work at all and I will need a new case. I would much rather not as in fear of damaging components.
My friend suggest this, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CC-9011052-WW-Carbide-SPEC-03-Mid-Tower/dp/B00J63LFTW/ref=sr_1_sc_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1412536611&sr=1-3-spell&keywords=corsair+carbide+spec+01+aggresive+red

Would a new case or fans be more effective than the other?

Here are my specs currently:
Corsair CX 500W Intel Core i3 540 3.06GHz Clarkdale overclocked to 4.20GHz
Gigabyte H55M-UD2H Intel H55 (Socket 1156) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU Cooler Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9
1600MHz Dual Channel Kit Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB
Cache Gainward GTX 560 ti 1024MB GDDR5 Realtek 7.1 Channel Sound (On-Board) LG
DVD+/-RW SATA Drive

Thanks.

They are both mid-tower cases, so either should work. I prefer the PSU to be on the bottom, but your case looks like it should work fine. The extra fans may help temps a bit, though. Just add them to your case if you have the space and you think you need more fans.

If you need a new CPU cooler, just buy a CM 212 EVO for $30. It is a great cooler.

I suggest you get an i5 rather than the 8350 if you're just gaming. I know the 8350 isn't as expensive, but a Z97 board and an i5 will give you a much better upgrade path and will perform better in many games.

Your original case was a budget case with limited cooling.

It will work, but it wont be as cool as others.

Bottom mounted PSU cases are better because the power supply does not have to get the hot cpu air as its "intake" air. This allso allows for a nice big 120 or 140mm top fan. The corsair is a pretty decent case. The two best budget cases are the NZXT 210 and Rosewill Challenger. Both of them come in bellow the corsair you have posted though.

Right I am going with an FX 8350, the ASUS M5A97 evo r2.0, and 2 corsair af 120mm blue and mount one at the back one and at the front so better air flow is achieved and then if this isn't cool enough I will get a new case like the corsair with a side panel viewing thing and will have some lights to show of then.

Thanks

I know I5 is better for some stuff but I do want to be able to say I have an 8 core. But also I don't have the money as it would take my overall upgrade budget to around £250 where as even if I get more fans and a new case would cost the same as the CPU and mobo.

i5 4440 and an ASRock Fatal1ty Z97X Killer
vs. an 8350 with an ASRock 990FX Extreme3

There is only about a $50 difference between the two with a decent motherboard.

Current games aren't going to use all of those cores. They will only benefit you if you're doing video editing or something similar that will use eight cores.

I am a small scale youtuber who does fancy gameplay jum cut things that will use 8 cores thats why I want to get an FX 8350. And thats $50 dollars I don't have.

Ram and PSU are my next upgrade and I was thinking maybe a gold level 600w or 650w
