One 2560x1600 or Three 1080p

Question I'm planning on getting a new monitor last one died on me so now I'm using a cheap one for now. So I want to get a 2560x1600/1440 monitor or maybe two of them. Will a single evga gtx 680 classified power both I'm not planning on gaming on both at the same time? Or is it better to get one 2560x1600/1440 and one 1080p monitor? Or just go 3 monitor setup at 1080p?

gtx 680 will support 2 2560x1600 monitors, but if you plan to use this set up specifically for gaming i would personally prefer to go for 3 1080p monitors instead of 2. 3 monitors gives a better and more "in the game" experience than 2. although it is to be mentioned that it is just a matter of personal preference.

I'd go with single screen gaming purely so there's not two thick black bars down the picture! Like sidd says though, personal preference. Much higher framerates on a single 2560x1600 though.
