Hello,
I just got my new motherboard, and saw it has one 8 pin and one 4 pin connector for the cpu. My Corsair rm650 only has one 8 pin connector that I can connect. Do I now need to buy a whole new power supply or is there another way??
Kind regards.

Solution
First of all the extra 4 pin connector may not be necessary.
The extra eps power is used for powering a second pcie slot for sli as well as for overclocking and for the power required for a cpu such as the i9-9900K
Likely, your motherboard manual will discuss when and if the extra 4 pin eps lead is necessary.

If you find that you need one, there are adapter cables that you can use.

I have one in the garage for another family build. Good board.

Since your PSU is modular, you might be able to order a 4-pin cable from Corsair.

yeah, but the problem is my psu only has one place to put a 8 pin, so I can't put a second 8 pin in
