one 8gb/2400 Trident X vs Two 4gb/1600 vengeance ?

Greeetings,

So I recently upgraded from my two single 4gb1600 to Dual trident X 2400 "fps improved a lot". Unfortunatly 1 of the tridents fell from my hand on the desk and its not working any more.

Should I use the two single 4gb/1600 vengeance or 1 remaining of the 8gb/2400 tridents ?

Mostly for gaming porpuses.

I'd go the 1x8GB at 2400, the 2x4GB in dual channel normally give a bit of an edge for the dual channel capability, but here the much wider bandwidth of the 3400 sticks should provide better performance (can always try both ways and see what appears to be best under a BenchMark also)
