One core not working? Need help.

I have an AMD E2-1800 APU with radeon HD graphics dual core but my laptop says I have only 1700 GHz. It seems low for a dual core so please help.

1700 is correct. To see your cores hit ctrl-alt-del then Taskmanager. Open the Performance tab and you should see two graph windows in the cpu usage history section
