One CPU core generally hotter than others

Hi i just reapplied thermal paste on my cpu after i did a dust clean. What i saw using Openhardware monitor was that core #1 is generally hotter than the others. I can also see that the Load is around 10-15 % higher as well for this core.
Is there a way to even out this load % so the CPU core is not going to overheat. Some times in game the heat difference from the highest to the lowest core can be up to 30-40 deg.C.
i use liquid cooling and the cpu is i7 4790k

One core is generally working more than the others depending on what you're doing. A 30-40c spread however isn't normal. Can you post a pic?
Different_CPU_core_temps.png
shows the different temps. That comes from Speccy. Hwmonitor is another health monitor that can show you more info than speccy. What probably happened is the thermal compound they used isn't evenly distributed under the top of the CPU which is aka a lid. Delidding, cleaning and reapplication of the appropriate thermal compound can remedy that situation BUT that is an advanced technique not recommended to novices. You can easily break your CPU if you don't KNOW what you're doing.

Did you notice the temps. before cleaning?

Well i build my pc. And reapplied the paste. As i understand it is normal for the core 1 to be higher in load. However as you see in the picture. The core 1 has a higher deg.C This is in PUBG, which is why the temp. is high.

When you use that Polaroid icon to embed a pic here you need to use a url that ends with jpg, png, bmp, gif or other pci extensions. You offered the regular link. I opened the image in a new tab https://i.imgur.com/OoJILzN.png which when using that pic icon

works.

And then I look at your temps.. Remove heatsink, reapply thermal compound(NOT TOO MUCH OR TOO little) and make certain it is properly installed. Those are not right. The max temp shouldn't be 88 even if one was running Intel Burn Test, have 3 browsers, playing a movie on mute, playing Spec. Ops.: The Line, and had a couple PC health monitors running. I alt+tabbed out of the game and took this screenshot

.

I can safely assume you weren't doing even half that when the pic was taken so you have seated it incorrectly or the chip has issues.

I normally see three temps with HwMonitor. Maybe try HwInfo during a gaming session so we can see the min, max and current temps..

I reapplied the paste and tried it again in PUBG and this halped a little, but is it still high?

In game core #1 is pushing 80 deg.C almost average whereas the core #4 is only around 60 deg.C

ps i dont understand how to post picture still. but it is here

OBS: checking again now and it is still pushing 100 deg.C in game.

Variation between each core ranging from 2 to 10 celsius is normal. Another potential step is to lower your voltages too. Each processor is different, but some some might require more or less voltage to run which could help lower temperatures. Give yours a test, and see if you can under volt, but be careful not to accidentally over-volt.

One small pea sized dot in middle of processor is all you typically need if you are applying paste; an uneven spread when placing a potential factor.

Furthermore, see what processed are running in the background, and run a processor test in safe mode. If that last image is correct, things do look a bit better, but those temperatures are a bit warm overall still.

How do you give it less volt?
I checked in bios and this is what i could find:
CPU volt was 1.8 and vCore was 1.125. is this high?

And this has not always been a problem for my CPU when i installed my liquid cooling i got nice and cool temperatures even in game. Maybe max 50 deg.C

Its a miditower and the airflow is not great. However i get the same problem with the side open. I have bought a evo 212 to test if Water cooling is defective. Havent received it yet though. I will return here With results.
I have also bought a used high tower, whcih i will use instead of the miditower. This hasent arrived yet either.
