One day, my computer started crashing with heavy GPU loads

Hello!
I have had my current setup for months, with an ASUS Strix Geforce 970, and suddenly, after trying something with my RAM, my computer started bluescreening or just turning off and starting over again when the GPU gets heavy loads. First I thought it was a CPU overheating problem, but it turned out not to be the problem, since I did a stress test on the CPU. I also stress tested my GPU, and then it crashed. It's not a overheating problem, since I tried putting the fans on full power, and the computer still crashed while it was actually cooling down.

Does anyone of you know the answer?

Okay, my specs:
PSU: Cooler Master G550M
GPU: ASUS Strix Geforce 970 Direct CU II
CPU: AMD A8 6600K
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A88M Extreme+
Ram: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz

", after trying something with my RAM
What did you do."
I added my old 2x2gb ram sticks to the computer for some extra ram, but then my computer started bluescreening randomly once a day, so I got them out, but then my computer would bluescreen while starting up, so I tried many things and eventually ended up putting my 2x4gb in slot 1 and 2, in stead of 1 and 3. Then my computer worked again, but a short time later I noticed that my computer would crash if my GPU got any higher load.

PSU is a tier 3 not the best but not also the worst. The 970 recommends a 500w unit so your ok there. I would go into your bios a set it to default settings to clear up any ram issues. I would then read your manual for your motherboard and put the ram sticks in the right slots, as of now your running them in single channel mode.
