One HDMI, One VGA, One Laptop

Hi, I need help with my monitors.
I have one HDMI port, and one VGA port on my laptop.
Basically:
I want my laptop to act like the computer tower/box and I want my monitors to act like dual monitors.

I have tried to do this, but it seems I can only have one monitor in at a time...
(If I plug both in, only one shows)

Is there any way to fix this?

Please help!

It's Toshiba, here is some basic info:
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU 2020M @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (7.88 GB usable)
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.
