one large ssd or one small ssd and one large hdd

I'm building putting together a parts list and had room in my budget for the 1tb samsung evo ssd. I was wondering if it would be better if i went for a small ssd like a 250gb and a 1tb WD black or just stick with the 1tb ssd if i can afford it.

Cost wise you're better off going for a small(er) SSD and a large HDD. Spend the saved money on other components that will benefit you.

The reason for this is that small insignificant files like documents and photos don't need to be on fast SSD storage.

Not much of a photo taker/collector and my music library isn't very big nor do i download music to my comp(current laptop) very often.

Even still, if you don't have masses of money, put the saved money elsewhere into components that will make a difference to your experience (GPU probably).
