Question One monitor goes black with triple monitor setup using an Nvidia 2080 Ti ?

I am running two 4k 240hz monitors and one 1440p 240hz monitor on a Nvidia 2080 Ti. Whenever I plug in the 3rd monitor, one of the 4k 240hz monitors goes black. All are connected via displayport

Prior to this setup I had one 4k 240hz, one 4k 144hz, and one 1440p 240hz. This triple monitor setup did work.

Am I pushing the graphics card too hard? Is there anything I can try?

Desktop Alienware R8, Windows 10, Intel i9-9900k, 32gb ram, Monitors are two Alienware AW3225QF's and One Alienware AW2721D

Thank you

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, used, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

Regarding:

"Whenever I plug in the 3rd monitor, one of the 4k 240hz monitors goes black. All are connected via displayport"

Are you plugging in the monitor while the system is up and running?

Or are all three monitors already connected when the system is booted up?

Is it always the same monitor that does not display? Does that change if the monitors are swapped about?

Quick check:

Look in Reliability History/Monitor. Any error codes, warnings, or informational events related to the GPU or other times when the 3rd monitor failed to display?

Ive tried to get them to work by plugging the third monitor in after the desktop is already running, and by having them all plugged in and then powering on the desktop.

The monitors will change, but it is always one of the 4k 240hz monitors that turn off.

There are no error messages

Physically how are all the monitors connected: ports, cables, power?

Any surge protectors, power strips, UPS, adaptors/converters, extensions?

On your computer right click an open area of the desktop. Select "Show more options"

That should lead to another menu list "Nvidia Control Panel"

Check the overall list of display related options. Ensure that the display is correct for your three monitor configuration.
