Hello, I have a Gigabyte Z170 ATX gaming 5 motherboard and I already have an 250 gb ssd and a 250 gb hdd and they are both filled up. I bought a 2TB hdd the other day and was wondering if I could install it as a third? I would just swap out for the 250 but I have games installed on it and dont want to wait the "6" hours for doom 4 and GTA V to reinstall again. Is this possible with my motherboard?

thanks in advance

Solution
Hey there, corndogg420.

Yup, you shouldn't have any issues with that. The motherboard has 6x SATA III (6Gb/s) ports, so you have enough for a few more drives as well.
Just don't forget to open Disk Management (once you have connected the drive and booted to Windows) in order to initialize, partition and format the drive so that you are able to use it. Here's how to do that:
How to initialize or write a signature to a secondary hard drive or Solid State drive in Windows
How to partition and format a drive on Windows and Mac OSX

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Solution
just use another sata port no problem having 3 disks.

With regards to 'reinstalling' depending on how they are installed they are often moveable. In steam create a new library on the new disk (it will be a lot faster) and then move it and check the installation it'll find everything is there and all is good. There are instructions on google i'm sure for that and for origin, uplay etc.
