One of my fans won't work

Hi,
I turned my pc on this morning, and one of the fans didn't turn on. I tried switching it to other fan power things that I knew were working but it didn't turn on. I tried plugging it straight into the power supply, and that didn't work either. The lights didn't turn on in the fan either. Do you guys think it's broken and I need to get a new fan, or can you think of any way of fixing it? Thanks in advance

Fans are pretty cheap. You can get a good one for 10 bucks, maybe just a few dollars more for some models. What size is it? 120mm, 140mm, or 200mm?

And yeah.....fans do burn up. It's not uncommon.

Alright, its 120mm, but I think it would be weird if it broke since it's brand new.

Computer parts do ship defective unfortunately. It is sadly relatively common. Sometimes you just get a "lemon". If you plugged it in somewhere else and it worked it would suggest socket/motherboard problems. But since you plugged it into a known working port we can rule that out.

Here is a page on Amazon with only 4 star and up fans. Maybe take this as an opportunity to add a fan with some cool LED's?

That is the best bet just get a new one. With the price of fans anymore there is little point in second guessing it and just buy a new one.
