Question One of my ram gets boiling hot and wont display

I bought a gskill aegis 8x2gb 2133mhz off ebay. The other ram works but whenever I plug in this one in it wont boot. But one of the ram modules get super hot (the black squares).

I tried cleaning it, and rolling it in aluminum foil and heat it up with a hair dryer.

So you put these 2 sticks alongside existing sticks?

What module gets hot, the one that fails to boot or the previous RAM you had?

The one that fails to boot is the one that gets hot. The other one is the same exact ram model but it works.

Were these new sticks put into the PC along with the previous sticks you had or do you only have these new sticks on the PC?

RAM stick getting abnormally hot is an issue, specially since its one specific stick. make sure XMP and other RAM OC are disabled and try again.

Xmp is disabled but I cant find the ram oc anywere in ai tweaker.
