One Person Killing Internet Speed For Everybody

My internet is being rendered unusable whenever my sister decides to watch youtube/browse instagram photos etc. and I really don't understand why. I get from 30 to 40 mbps download speeds which should be fine. Even when her videos aren't HD they cause issues. For example when she was browsing the internet I had a ping to google of 5 ms, which went up to 1300 ish for the duration of a youtube video she was watching. Also, webpages usually load almost instantly but take 10 - 20 times as long during these times. The most baffling part is that I can stream to twitch while watching my stream and get 20 ping or so, and have no problems at all, but when she uses YouTube I often find myself unable to join teamspeak servers, make google searches or, for that matter, basically anything else.

Is this something that can be fixed and if so how? Thanks in advance.

WiFi, router is Genexis Titanium

Usually the same but when the issue occurs only mine seems to suffer. Mine is in the original post.

No. The link rate is what is shown on the Windows networking display where it shows the speed of your connection. Speedtest is not what I am looking for.

It says 72 mbps for me.

To get a complete answer you will also need the same info from your sister's computer.

Why is this important? Because if the link speed your sister is getting is say 54Mbit, then it take more TIME for her to transfer the same amount of data (streaming) as you at 72Mbit. Since the WIFI network can only connect to a single device at a time if her transfers take a long time, then you get locked out.
