Question One stick of RAM not being recognized?

Hey all. Until recently I've not noticed this issue but my system diagnostics say that only one of my two RAM sticks (Patriot Viper btw) are being recognized. They're both 4 gigs. I've tried reseating them, blowing them out, running extra programs etc. My motherboard is a Z370 SLI Plus, so I doubt that my RAM is straight up incompatible. Running out of ideas. Appreciate any tips!

According to the manual, on the manufacturer web site, they show the single ram should be in DIMMA-2 which is the second slot from cpu, is that the location you inserted the ram ?

Maybe a defective chip.

Try each stick on its own. Also check for any bent cpu pins.

Was the RAM from a single kit or 2 separate sticks?
