Question One webcam for 2 different applications running at once

I have a single webcam feed that is required by 2 different applications in Windows at the same time.

The problem is that each application seems to hijack the video feed, whichever launches first. is there any utility that might 'split' the webcam video feed and allow 2 applications to access it?

There's things such as ManyCam. Or just google ManyCam alternatives and you'll be able to find something.
