So my wife's pc is having an issue and I was wondering if someone can help

She's got a i5 6500, Gigabyte H110 Pro and a gtx 970 temporarily

When she tries to game, she loses the signal from her video card and when she reboots she gets this error

It was working fine until yesterday. She's had it for 3 days

Now it goes into bios fine but as soon as it boots into windows there's that error. She has to switch from dvi after turning off the pc to get it to work. When she boots back into ffxiv it happens again.

Now I noticed that windows installed a nvidia driver I have not seen before and heard that was causing issues. I used ddu to uninstall and used the latest driver from nvidia but it still happened.

She is checking the driver now but not havin any issues

It still says she has 378.66. It was 376.53

Solution
That PSU should have ample power for that set up, so best I can suggest now is blocking Window's updating the device drive first, then do the DDU and install the driver you want from nvidia's website. You may want to select only the driver and phys-x during the install, and omit installing Geforce Experience and 3D BS to rule that out as well. Hopefully you get back to working fine, otherwise it would be nice to see what the new GPU does (you said this one is temporary).
