One xeon 6 core on the sr-2

can i have one 6 core xeon processor on the sr-2 mobo??? and will it work with just one processor while i save up to get another 6 core xeon or i have to have 2 xeons on the sr-2 plz help

It'll work with a single dual qpi processor (xeon in other words) just fine.. Just make sure you place the ram modules in the correct slots...
