Online gaming data usage

Ok, I know this has been asked, but how much data does online gaming really use? Say, I was playing 1-2 hours a night every night of the week. As for games, maybe SWTOR (Star wars the old republic), Wizard 101 or other MMOs.

Seperate question: I got a bandwith monitor application and within 30 seconds of me JUST BROWSING, NO DOWNLOADS OR VIDEOS, it had a total usage of about 10mb. Is that really right??? It seems like a lot for just browsing.

Finaly, if this helps, my limit is 30GB a month, and I use satellite internet (I connect to it with a USB wireless adapter on my pc).

Windows updates and other program updates and checks (nVidia, AMD, other drivers) also take up bandwidth. If there are Windows updates I can see you hitting several MB of use without touching anything easily. And a new driver can be a few 100 MB.
Use the event monitor and look in the network tab and you can see what a the game is using. You add the in and out together and multiple by 450 should give you bytes/hour.

10m is not all that huge there are a ton of graphics in web pages and there are all kinds of unnecessary scripts run for tracking and advertising that eat lots of bandwidth. Run adblockers and ghostery addons and you will see all kinds of stuff that is blocked.
