online gaming traffic to servers

Just got our laptop up and running with the online version -
Was curious about the traffic, so looked in our router log.
Why does it show so many UDP connections to various servers ?
I would have expected a single "conversation" to a server ?
What's going on ?
Should I also be worried about this type of traffic ?

There is no such thing as a direct route to a server what you are most
likely seeing in the log are the addresses of routers between you and
the server, especially if you connect to a server run by a company who
run lots of servers in clusters. As long as your ping stays as low as
it gets and is stable then don't worry

Get your firewall sorted.
It may save you becoming a victim of some Korean port scanner hacker.
Also check the ip addys with a 'whois' server to see where they are
originating from.
This also might encourage you to get that firewall sorted.

Is the clock in your router set correctly? It may just be from an earlier
gameserver scan.
