Only 1 Core and 2 Threads??

Okay, so I got my new PC, an HP Z230 with an i7 4790 and I put my harddrive (has 32-bit Windows 10) and graphics card in (GTX 1050). For some stupid reason, on CPU-Z it says I have 1 Core, 2 Threads and in MSconfig I can only select 2 processors! My CPU has 4 cores and 8 threads so 8 should be available for selection. Also, I tried to change this in BIOS; except I'm not sure if it's the BIOS, as when I press F10 it comes up with the 'Hewlett Packard Setup Utility.' If this isn't BIOS, I've got no clue how to access it and I really want to enable all 8 threads on my processor instead of two. NOTE: In the Setup Utility, it says "Enable Multiple Processors" which is enabled, and so it Hyperthreading, but still; 8 Threads can't be used!

Please Help!

Thank you,

BushTucka.

That's what I did, but I can only select Two Processors from there for some reason.

I got the free version off the Microsoft website, I don't know how to upgrade to 64-bit. I have 8GB Ram.

Re-install Windows clean on it, and install the 64 bit Windows. Sounds like you just put a hard drive in there from another system without doing a clean setup. I doubt a system with that CPU only has 4 GB of RAM. Keep in mind that a "processor" is not the same as a "core".

Sorry, I have 8GB RAM. So what do you mean by clean install? I was thinking to just download the 64 bit one on a USB Drive and boot the PC from the USB. Is this what you mean? Or do I download Windows directly on the PC again?

Thank you!

Yes make a Windows 10 setup on the drive, boot off that and do a clean setup. Make sure you backup your files and other things you will need.

Thanks, but how do I back up everything? I have an SSD Drive with Windows on it, and a Hard Disk which is two Terabytes.

NOTE: NEVERMIND, I'm currently backing up everything from the SSD onto the Hard Drive as the SSD has all the important files on it.

Well I put the ISO on a USB, as well as dap10_full.exe and the CCCOMA_X64FRE_EN-US_DV9 disk image, but when I boot the PC from the USB, it says "Error Loading Operating System"

Also, I downloaded the Win10 Setup on my Actual PC as well. Everything is still backed up by the way. I might just do it from there, it should work, shouldn't it? It's how I upgraded from Win7 to Win10 before anyways.
