Question Only 12GB RAM usable out of 16GB ?

Went from old ddr3 to new ddr4 pc. i tried the msconfig fix and it didnt work out. i read the solution could be in bios but idk what to do there

wow, same cpu as mine, can u post ur task manager performance on ram, like this, it says memory 32GB, on top right , for you it should says 16gb .

Note. With i3-12100F you can run ram at 3200mhz. You don't have to keep it at 2133mhz.
If motherboard supports ram overclocking, then you can run it at even higher frequency.

hmm, id try reseat your ram, or try different ram slot(s), even if you go with a1+a2 single channel, for testing purposes it should do
you could also try single stick at a time, then the other to see if ram gets adressed properly
if single stick (both of them, but one at a time) shows still xGB hardware reserved instead of xMB, then try reseat your CPU and check for any bent pins

3.2GB of ram is hardware reserved.
What model motherboard is it?

Try updating BIOS to latest (non-beta) version.

try plug each 1 ram only . and find what cause the problem, it should says 7,8 or 7,9GB usage for each ram,

I think maybe there is a faulty ram ? or did u try another OS , see if it use only 12gb ram or 16gb
