only 16mb of total available graphics memory

Hi,

I just bought a cpu with amd a8 processor and the vendor told me it has 2gb of inbuilt r7 graphics. I installed windows 7 on my pc and when i check it shows:

Adapter type : Standard VGA graphics
Total available graphics memory : 16mb
dedicated graphics ; N/A
Rest All N/As

Please advice because i dont understand why total available graphics is only 16mb and the rest is n/a. i have not installed graphics driver though.

That's why. You need to install the video driver in order for the system to allocate RAM to your integrated graphics.

Thanks bro...i Installed it now and i can see the below:

Dedicated graphics memory : 512MB
Total available graphics memory : 2020MB
shared system memory : 1508MB.

I dont have an additional graphics card as my budget was too tight.

Please advice is this a genuine processor and if yes is it sufficient to play games like GTA 4? and can i increase my dedicated graphics memory?

Someone else will have to answer if integrated hardware is sufficient for GTA 4 (never played it myself.) I kind of doubt it, but the newer integrated GPUs have a lot more juice than they used to.

The only way to increase dedicated graphics memory is to get a dedicated graphics card.
