I have spent the last several hours researching my problem and my Google-fu appears to be weak!

I am running this machine as a Plex server and nothing else. Here is my configuration:
-HP xw8600 Workstation
-BIOS Version: HP 786F5 v01.46 dated 9/20/2012 (Most current available from HP website)
-2 X Intel Xeon X5450 @ 3.00 Ghz
-16GB RAM
-250GB SSD SATA (WIN 7 installed on this drive and no data/MBR)
-1TB WD Blue SATA (Internal-GPT Initialized)
-1TB (WD Black SATA (Internal-GPT)
-400GB WD4000KD SATA (Internal-MBR Initialized/Does not support GPT)
-6TB WD My Book (USB3 External)
-3TB WD My Book (USB3 External)
-3TB WD My Book (USB3 External)
-3TB WD My Book (USB3 External)
-BIOS does not support UEFI

I am trying to install a new 10TB WD Red HDD internally via a SATA connection, but only 1121.87 GB NTFS shows up in Disk Manager. I have set it as GPT and formatted and the 1121.87 GB is available but the remaining 9TB is not visible. I have checked in the BIOS and the drive is recognized. I have read several articles that say you do not have to have UEFI for a non-booting/data only large capacity drive and others that say you do.

Any help or work-arounds would be most appreciated!

Solution
Your motherboard is probably just too old to understand such a large capacity drive. Try a BIOS update, if that doesn't help it's time to upgrade.
