Hi,

I have 4GB of RAM installed in my system (2 X 2GB) however when I start the task manager it is only showing 2GB of it being available.

I have checked via the BIOS and CPU-Z and both show 2 sticks of 2GB each.

The task manager also shows 4GB SDRAM on top but on the usage graph is is showing 2 GB. Similarly in the System dialogue of windows it says the Installed Memory - 4GB (usable 1.99GB)

Why is only 2 GB usable? I have a 64bit system

Regards

I have a dedicated graphics card. It is the ATI HD5770. It has 1 GB of GDDR5 memory of its own.

Apart from that I am using a MSI P55GD65 motherboard with an Intel i5 750 processor. A 1TB seagate HDD is also installed.

Let me know if you need any other information

The RAM came in a set. There are two sticks but they came together
