[SOLVED] Only 2 ram slots working on Dell Optiplex 9010 MT ?

Hi. I have problem with my Dell Optiplex 9010 MT. There are 4 dimm slots(1,2,3,4). Only two ram sticks configuration working , when i put in slots more than 2 memory sticks , computer won't boot, Black screen and i can't power off from button. Two sticks in another slots working . Thanks for help

Have you tried the two sticks that don’t work in the slots that are known to work? If you put the the new ones in the two slots that work and the RAM works, it is likely a problem with the motherboard.

What are the brand names, models, and sizes of the RAM?

Search for a bios update, also read carefully max ram supported by the motherboard, nowdays you can achieve max ram with 2 dimms.

What RAM? What are specs? The 4 sticks came in a package as a 'kit'? If you're micing RAM there's not guarantee they'd work, it's always a gamble.

Bios updated. I have 6 sticks of ram. All sticks works in 2 slots correct. 2x2gb and 2x4gb works. 3x2Gb won't. Brands: Goodram,vdata,crucial,Samsung. DDR3. Its not kit of 4. I mixed it.

Well there's your answer. Mixing RAM rarely works smooth. Sometimes works with glitches and needs tweaks here and there. Sometime doesn't work like in the case of your system and the way you're mixing and matching, unfortunately.
