Only 3 5gb ram available with 8gb installed, using win7 64bit, it show 4.5gb res

Hi there
I have an AS Rock 4core 1333 Full HD motherboard with an Intel Q6600 and I recently installed more Ram but it shows only 3 5gb ram usable with 8gb installed. I'm using using windows7 64bit and in the resourses monitor it shows 4.5gb reserved for hardware, how do I resolve this,

Check the maximum memory in msconfig.

one check cpu stats to see if it supports 8 gigs two take each stick and put one in then boot to check to see if u got a bad ram stick
