Hey I finished building my PC yesterday and today while playing games I noticed that my voice was not picking up through the mic and that the overall sound is very low at 100% volume. I plugged my headphones on different ports (case audio jack, motherbord audio jack and display audio jack) but none will pick up my voice. Also, when I open the realtek audio console I can't change the db above +30db. I've had a laptop before building this gaming PC which was very high sound at 100%. Could it be that the db is so low that my voice isn't picking up? And if so, how do I fix this low sound issue?

I tried replugging the wires again, installing and updating drivers and using different headphones, it doesn't change.
My system is:
i7-9700k
Asus Rog Strix z390-E
rtx2070s

Hope someone can help me out here because everything else seems to work fine.

Desktops usually have separate jacks for sound out and mic, while laptops and phones often have one jack for both. You may need a splitter. Make and model of headphones?
