Question Only 64 bit applications not responding

Hey there. i have pretty old pc. it has 64 bit windows 8. Suddenly all the 64 bit programs stopped responding, even the default programs. Only 32 bit programs are working and they are working just fine.

I checked for essential updates for windows which is windows 8 but there were none available.

I couldn't find anything on internet related to this.
Please help me out.
