I've built an audio server to offload some of the VI processing for my work, and have it and my workstation connected to a ethernet switch which is connected to my router. I want to still allow my workstation access to the internet, but only allow the server to see the desktop on the LAN. Is there a way to configure this in Windows server? As a college student I was able to get a free download of WS awhile back through dreamspark or something.

Thanks

Here is a tutorial on setting a static IP address on Server 2016 -- https://ittutorials.net/microsoft/windows-server-2016/set-windows-server-2016-with-a-static-ip-address/ Just don't populate the field that says "default gateway"

Sorry, I know very little about networking, could you explain that a bit more lol
