Hey I'll keep it short, I got my HDMI monitor working and i'm trying to get a second VGA one working.
Both work on their own but when i put them both in, only the VGA one displays.

Used VGA-DVI adapter because my GPU doesn't have VGA input

As soon as I plug n second monitor, the first one turns off and windows/AMD Catalyst doesn't detect the other one.

Windows 10
AMD Radeon 280x
i7 6700 CPU

tried reinstalling display drivers, tried changing resolution... it just doesn't want to detect both monitors at the same time!

pls halp

Here's what I'd try: remove the power from the graphics card, start with the monitor connected to the motherboard and install the Intel graphics driver.
Shut down, re-plug the PCIe power cords to the graphics card, second monitor connected to it.
Start the pc and see if both working.

Hey thank you for your quick response!

I plugged the VGA monitor into my motherboard and enabled multi-monitor in my BIOS but nothing changed, and it still doesn't detect the 2nd monitor 🙁

After trying rlly hard (im kind of a newb when it comes to hardware) i couldn't take out the cable.. it was too stuck! it had this little safe mechanism u have to push in order to pull out the cable, but it was too stuck.. i was bending my motherboard trying to pull it out so i stopped trying, dont want to break my pc lol

Is there another way to turn off my GPU?

I didn't unplug the GPU I just installed intel graphics driver and that solved the problem! now all that's left is to configure which screen is my primary one and i'm good, thanks for your help!
