Only get 80Mbs on my pc when i get 250mbs on another

Hello there, recently i upgraded my internet to a 200 Mb/s speed but could only get speeds of 70-80 Mb/s on my PC. I just had a technician come to my home to try and fix my slow internet, when he got on his PC he immediately got download speeds of 250 Mb/s when i get 80 Mb/s with the same cable and everything.I can pull this 250 Mb/s speed from my Xbox one with the same Ethernet cable something i did not realize making me believe it is hardware related.

I am not that knowledgeable about this but i have done a little research and i think my PC maxes out at 100 Mb/s with the Ethernet driver i have. so my question is if i order a USB gigabit nic offline and run my Ethernet cable through that do you guys think i will get the 250 Mb/s speed i should?

I am new to the site and appreciate any answers and help you guys can provide, thanks in advance.

Yup as most USB's I've seen cut out at times and get flaky. All you have to do is open the case. make sure you got an x1 slot and order the card. If you dont have one and only PCI then their are other cards for those. Remove the back slot cover and slip the card in to bolt it down. connect your eithernet cable to the card. Start windows and install the drivers.
Do you think this is the best bet to get that 250 Mb/s speed? also would i have to find an exact fit for my specific PC/how hard would the installation be?
