Only getting 4400 3DMark score Firestrike Ultra on GTX 1070

I have AMD FX9590 4.7 CPU, ASUS Sabertooth 990 r2, 16Gb of memory and the GTX 1070 I just got. But my score is only 4400. During the Firestrike combine test, my FPS was between 10-16 FPS. What am I doing wrong?

cpu is not good enough for a 1070, that will cause your score to be lower


that said, do you monitor temps at all?

The 1070 is not great at 4K, it's scores about 250 more than a Fury X in Fire Strike Ultra. As for your CPU, your score would be higher with an i7 5000 series and up or Ryzen CPU. Overall you will score lower than you would with a CPU that has DDR4 memory support. The FX 9590 is still decent for gaming but if you are comparing your score to a an Intel rig the higher score you are seeing is Intel's CPU physics score but that has little to no effect on your graphics score.
